cherry blossomsWho wants to join me for a free mini-workshop and photo walk on May 4, 2019?  There’s just nothing like getting outside after a cold and dreary Ohio winter, don’t you agree? So if you’ve been curious about my camera classes but you weren’t sure a whole workshop is for you, I hope you’ll find a mini-workshop to be just right.

After a quick lesson, you’ll spend the rest of the hour wandering the grounds at a local park and taking pictures.

Sound like something you’d enjoy?  Great!  Follow this link to sign up and let me know you are coming.

What to bring:

  1. Your camera – whatever kind you have will be fine for this mini-workshop
  2. Camera Manual (optional) – this can come in handy if you need to find a particular setting.  If you don’t have your manual or you don’t want to carry it, you may want to search for it on Google. Then save the link to your smartphone for easy reference.
  3. Sturdy walking shoes

About this mini-workshop:

When I decided last year to start offering beginner camera classes, I knew I wanted to extend the learning beyond the classroom setting.  That can be challenging to coordinate in the winter months. But once the snow melts we have so many pretty places we can go to practice!   While this isn’t quite like the field trips you remember as a kid (no brown sack lunches or bus rides here), it will have all the best elements of a field trip.  Like friends, education that feels like fun, a break from the norm, etc.  And you’ll hopefully end up with really pretty pictures to remember it, too!

We will meet at the Canton Garden Center near the McKinley Monument on Stadium Park Dr. in Canton, Ohio.  There is limited parking, and if they have a group renting the center that day, you may need to park at one of the other lots along Stadium Drive and walk down.

Make sure you sign up HERE if you’re coming.  You’ll get updates about the workshop via email.
