If you’re like many (me included), holidays tend to sneak up on you and you’re left scrambling for a good gift.  No need to panic!  I’ve got 6 great photo gift ideas for Mother’s Day!  (It’s this Sunday.  Are you ready?)

Photo Gift Ideas for Moms

1. Photo Coasters

I have seen several tutorials on Pinterest for this project.  You aren’t even limited to your own photos.  You can always download royalty-free stock images from Unsplash.  They have a gigantic digital library of fantastic photos like the one below to choose from.  Simply download your favorite and use as desired.  Really.

2. Personalized note cards

For under $20 you can create a personalized set of note cards with your favorite photos at Shutterfly.  I love that you can choose 12 different photos so that each card can be different.  Subjects to choose from could be flowers or family members, or her favorite pet.  The hardest part for her will be deciding which card to send you as a thank you note.

3. Make a collage of photos

Of course you can buy a collage frame and just put the prints in the openings.  Or you can have something even more unique made with your photos like this cute “Love you to the Moon and Back” collage from Minted.

4. Photo session with her kids

Okay, so I’m a photographer–of course, I am going to recommend this!  So often, moms are behind the camera.  They are happy to capture memories of the kids.  And whatever the excuses reasons are for not wanting to be in the picture, the truth is that she really should exist in photos.  Don’t you think?

5. New camera

You also know that moms tend to put themselves last when it comes to buying themselves expensive things.  Maybe she’s been secretly wanting to upgrade her camera.  Just promise me that you won’t get suckered into buying the “kit”.  Do your wallet a favor and do the research first.  Many times the kit that’s on sale really isn’t the best deal.  Particularly if it comes with a lens that you’ll never really use or cleaning accessories.

6. Photography classes

She already has a fancy-pants camera?  Great!  Does she want to learn how to use it better?  Maybe she wants to learn how to create that pretty blurry background, or she wants to know how to make sure her pictures are in focus.
