Baby Evelyn is the granddaughter of a sweet friend. Her family came all the way from Michigan for their session! (Well, not because I’m anything special to drive that far: they came because their session was a baby shower gift. But it’s fun to say that they came all the way from Michigan. 😉 ) She had just turned a month old the week they came for a visit.
If you call to book a newborn session, I will suggest we aim for the session to occur between the ages of 4-10 days. And that’s because it is the time frame when they sleep a lot and their little bodies are still super flexible and easily go into the curly poses that newborn photography is known for. But even though Evelyn was already a month old, she did a marvelous job.
I never get tired of photographing newborn’s tiny features. Evelyn had lashes for days! Babies truly are a miracle from God – “fearfully and wonderfully made”!
The nursery at Grandma’s house is decorated in shades of teal, cream and brown, so I wanted to incorporate those colors into at least one of the poses.
Thank you to Evelyn’s mommy and daddy for allowing me the privilege of photographing your sweet little family. She is truly precious!
